Medical

The most important feature of silver solder used in the medical and dental professions is that they should be cadmium free. This is particularly relevant in the dental profession.
456 alloy is the most common silver solder.
It contains 56% silver and has the lowest melting range of the cadmium free alloys.
It conforms to BS EN 1044 AG102 and produces joints with the smallest fillet.
It has a reasonablecolour match on stainless steel.
