4. First Aid Measures

Inhalation Remove to fresh air. Keep warm and at rest. Do not use mouth to mouth ventilation. Seek medical attention urgently.

Skin Contact Wash immediately with water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists or blisters form.

Eye Contact Irrigate eye thoroughly with water.

Ingestion Wash mouth with water and give plenty of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting.

Use any extinguishing agent. Wear breathing apparatus.

6. Accidental Release Measures

Avoid contact with the liquid. Ventilate the area to dispel residual vapours. Dilute with plenty of water. Wear suitable impervious rubber gloves and footwear.

Handling. Wear suitable protective clothing. Avoid inhalation of fumes.

Storage. Keep in original container in cool, dry, well ventilated areas. Keep away from children

10. Stability and Reactivity

Contact with acids will liberate irriating fumes of hydrogen chloride or toxic fumes of nitrosyl chloride. Harmful fumes can be liberated from certain salts eg cyanides, nitrites, sulphites, acetylides and carbides.
Reacts with oxidixing agents to produce toxic chlorine gas.

Ingestion Abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhoea.
