Company History
CuP Alloys Ltd / CuP Alloys (Modelling) Ltd
Both companies are family owned and managed by Keith Hale. He has an honours degree in metallurgy and has worked in the precious metal industry since 1969. He is a member of the European Association of Brazing and Soldering (EABS)
He originally worked for Johnson Matthey Metals where he became a brazing specialist covering the UK. Subsequently he joined the Sheffield Smelting Company/Engelhard Industries (now Thessco) concentrating on the sale of silver solder in the UK and across Europe.
He formed CuP Alloys in 1981 as a specialist company dealing solely with brazing materials.The aim was to provide high quality brazing products, a prompt delivery service and competitive prices irrespective of quantity.
That aim is the same today.
CuP Alloys Ltd distributes larger quantities to general industry.
A second company, CuP Alloys (Modelling) Ltd was created in Oct 2005 to deal specifically with and expand the market for small pre-packed quantities. It is now probably the No 1 supplier of brazing and soldering materials to the model engineering trade.
In November 2010 it was incorporated into CuP Alloys Ltd.
